RC injector questions
I notice that there are a lot of talk about saturated and peak and hold injetors. After looking for some larger injectors myself I stumbled upon some info and im a little confused. I was on the RC site www.rceng.com and i noticed that they make saturated injectors that are just as large as the peakand hold injectors. So heres my question. Why is everyone running resister packs to run these peak and hold injectors when you can just buy saturated ones that plug right in. The saturated ones are actualy cheaper anyway. Does the amount of resistance change anything with the way they perform? I have a standalone that can control either but i was jsut curious.

Re: RC injector questions (boosted3g)
Their website is outdated. They no longer offer saturated over 440cc, unless they are special order. Special order = not worth the $$$.

Re: RC injector questions (DirtyLude)
Another key reason is that you can get a set of four 450cc injectors off any turbo mitsubishi for around $45 because DSM guys like to upgrade to 550s. Add $6 worth of resistors and you've got 450s for $51 instead of paying $300+ for RC 440s. They atomize fuel better too - my DSM 450s idle smoother than my RC 310s ever did.

Re: RC injector questions (jamal-188)
actually the older ones are preferable; mine are off a '92 talon. As long as they're off a 5-speed -turbo- model, they are a 450cc replacement that will fit exactly like RC injectors (automatic tranny models had 350cc injectors I believe); they are a drop-in replacement and require the RC or OBD-I plugs to fit, and require a resistor pack because they are low-impedance peak-and-hold injectors. You can do a search and find abundant information on any of these requirements on this forum.

I think that the larger peak and holds (450/500cc+) can provide smaller pulses (less fuel) at idle than the saturated type can. This will help engine run smoother at idle.
