Default rc fuel injector physical size issue

as you can see, there is a physical height difference in the two injectors
To the left is a stock d16y8 injector
To the right is a RC SL4-650 injector (with an intake manifold seal)

What can I do to fix the difference in size?

actually they don't
since the rc injector is shorter in size overall, the fuel rail can't sit down any further.

on my d16y8 intake manifold, the fuel rail hits a washer type piece on the studs that hold it so it cannot tighten down the injectors

Take off the stud where the fuel rail bolts to and add a couple washers to bring the stud up more. I had to use about 3 washers to get the injectors to seal correctly.

the injectors are shorter... I need to have the fuel rail sit lower, or have taller injector seals

any part #'s would help

Part #17, I had the same issue when I went from stocks to 440's. You also should have gotten injector seals with those new injectors and the rc's do not sit down in the seals like the stock y8's do. They kind of seal by being pressed against the new seal. So they actually should sit higher than the stock y8's, so this is where the washer fix comes in

No just use the seals you got from rc. Then your rc's will sit higher than the stockers and the washers will raise the fuel rail to match.

The rc injector seal goes where I outlined in red, it seems like it wont seal but as long as you use the washers it will make a seal.

**EDIT: I marked in blue where the injector seals to the top of the o-ring.

it cleary looked like you forced that seal on the injector, you need to place the seals in the injector holes on the intake manifold, put the injectors in the fuel rail, then install the fuel rail and injector assembly all at once, the injectors sit on top of the seals not in them, I rc injcetors with supplied seals no washers and I have no issues, perfect fit.

my idea would be to take the studs out of your intake manifold where the fuel rail bolts down and use some 10mm bolts with smaller spacers or none at all and tighten the bolts down untill the injectors are snug

perlmeistere81 is right, Once you get the injector orings where they are supposed to go you will see that the RC injector will actually be taller then the OEM.
This issue will happen with any injector you buy. The cool thing about the Y8 is that the fuel rail studs are adjustable in height so you dont need and spacers/washers.

most definitely you need to move those seals farther down towards the end of the injector.
