hmm, so like for example, home depot would have a stud with a hex on the top of it ?

 

u could always use a 10mm and nut

well, the place where the stud goes to adjust hard or soft, is stripped out... not sure what i can do, besides tap it ?

 

i had the same problem. I just tapped it one size bigger (its easy, its aluminum), got a long bolt and cut the head off with my dremel. Then put a small slit in the top for a flathead screwdriver and works perfect! And make sure you get the nut for it too and tighten it down.
