quick question bout spark plug wires
sorry guys, i'm at work..and i did do some search..but i dont have enough time. i have to be at school by 5.
one of my spark plug wires....the metal peice that is tightened around the wire so it can go into the distributor inlet....fell off. can i just simply put it back on?
also...do all B series spark plug wires fit? if not...which ones are compatible?
i have a jdm b16 motor. i went to pep boys for a quick fix just now...and everytime i ask for either 95 dol sol 1.6 or a 99 Si 1.6 they give me the wrong spark plug wire. it looks like it fits only sohc. i think pep boys near me have a computer problem.
somebody please help..i'm sorry that i'm typing way too fast before i even think..but its my lunch time...and its almost up....

No, buy new wires.
As far as I know any B-series wires will fit. Still it doesn't hurt to bring a wire in to compare.

Re: quick question bout spark plug wires (beepy)
ur always one of the first to reply to me beepy. i'm always having fawking problems w/ this damn car. now i hear axle noises too...argghhhhh.
anyway...i bought a set of GSR...and it didn't fit. the LS ones i tried to borrow off a friend..didn't fit either. so i guess all B series wont fit. and i tried getting b16's from pepboys...but they keep giving sohc wires...i need to go to autozone. but i have no time....ai ya. oh well. to my car.

yeah..thats exactly wut i asked for at pepboys...but i think their computers are all weird. they kept bringing out SOHC spark plugs...and insisted that they were right. i was just like ...wutever.... and ran straight back to work.
i'm hoping i can sneak out a lil earlier and go to autozone or somewhere more reliable.
all this time i had hesitation..and i thought it was in the tune. it actually was the spark plug wire connection that was bad.
i should be lucky i didn't blow anything yet...cause i did get on it several times knowing i had hesitation problems.

Hmm. I wonder what wires I use then? I use 2000 Civic wires (from Schuck's) on my Kia and they fit perfectly.

Re: quick question bout spark plug wires (beepy)
OMFG! i just ran to autozone before i got to school to test a set of spark plug wires. i specifically asked for 99 si dohc vtec. i then proceeded to put one wire on to see if it'll fit...NO! it doesn't! the neck sticks up a lil just like how the LS would fit. so i returned them real quick and went on my way to school... (where i am now...and i should go to class) ....see ya guys.
