Alright so I have started to rebuild one of my cars (turbo b18b eg). Im building a lsvtec for it. Ive started fabbing up new charge pipes and all the plumbing for it, but how much difference is there in between the b16a head versus the b18 head. I dont care about the specs, I still have the b18 in it, I want to know if the TB is going to be in a slightly different location? Is the exhaust manifold going to sit a different location? what about the water outlet? its kinda hard to tell with the head just sitting next to the engine if anything is going to be moved

 

This is going on the fact that im assuming your talking about a b16 head vs the b18b head. The water outlet atleast when I swapped from a b20 to a b16a the lower radiator hose will be different as it sits back further everything else should be the same. They were for me anyways. The b20 and the b18 are damn near the same on locations.

 

bump back to the top....I know the b16a head is slightly taller, but does anyone know if the exhaust sits any further up...if noone knows I guess Ill just have to get off my lazy *** and rip the b18b head off the car and mock it up with the b16a head....its so cold in ohio right now I cant stand to even be outside on days like this

 

You may have better luck on the fab forum.Maybe even pm some of the manifold builders.This whole site seems like everyone deserted this place when the layout changed.
