Default quick question about fpr

i m sorry but i really dont have much time to do search. i kind of looked at a couple pages but i did not really find anything, so i have to ask u guys:

i have a greddy turbo kit in my 2000 civic ex (d16y8). since the kit was used, it did not come with the blue box and large fuel injectors. for fuel upgrade i only have a aem fuel rail and a bbk 225 fuel pump. my car is running too rich now and i need to turn down the fuel pressure. i will have to bring my car to the smog. i have a b&m fuel gauge and a autometer fuel pressure gauge(reading 32 psi right now, with fuel pump off and 34 with fuel pump on). my question is:

which fuel pressure regulator should i buy (tight budget) and what psi should i set it to so i can ensure to pass smog test.

thank you thank you thank you!!!!
smog test is due this week, please let me know soon!

by looking at the carbon deposits on my exhaust tip and on all 4 spark plugs, my car is running rich. and it also shows on my air/fuel ratio gauge.

i know that, i know i should keep it richer than NA if i boost it, but the point is that i want to pass the smog test right now and i know that i will not pass it if my car is running this rich.

You're car won't be running if you go any leaner.

Did you get it that time?

do you have an AF ratio gauge? autometer or any other narrowband don't count. unless some magical honda genie is giving you extra fuel... you are NOT running rich. and need to get your car tuned asap before driving it anywhere, let alone to the smog station.

sorry, i really dont get it. all i want is just lower the pressure a bit when i take it to the smog, then raise it back to what i have right now. they will measure the smog at 3000 rpm right, and they will not even engage the turbo.

ok check this out . the fpr is stock the injectors are stock , i dont see how a fuel pump is gonna change anything but pump more fuel to those parts which will restrict it , so your fine , it will pass smog , but what turbo kit you runnin , because you should be more worried about having a turbo kit thats not carb legal in ur ****

oh, according to this http://arb.ca.gov/msprog/after...7.pdf my kit is ok (greddy kit for a 2000 civic ex). i went to a couple smog shop already and ask them if it's ok, they called the referenree and made sure that it was ok.

but if u say that my car will pass smog and it's not too rich, then why there is so many carbon deposits on the exhaust tip? i know that there shouldnt be anything to cause it to run rich, what do u think the problem is?
