I was wondering if the injectors I have are saturated or peak and hold injectors? They are rc's, the number on them is r8m550? Are those saturated or peak and hold?

 

saturated RC 550's read SL9-550 You most likely have peak n hold...although Ive never seen peak n hold injectors from RC that read r8m only seen PL9. Hope that helps.

 

this guy that sold these to me told me that they were saturated injectors. I installed them and it started up but would not idle? I know I can check the ohm to find out, but im wondering what this part # means r8m550? Here's another question I have. I got 450cc dsm injector's and a dsm resistor box. Should I even bother installing these or is my stock 240cc w/ 12-1fmu be enough for my turbo set up. Stock b16a2 t3/t4 50trim, looking to run 7-9lbs. If I install the dsm's would I still have to use the fmu?

Measure the resistance across the two pins of the injector. Low impedance injectors are 4 ohms or less and saturated injectors are 12 ohms to 16 ohms.
