Questions on Resonated Test Pipe
I've been getting differing opinions here and there about resonated test pipes compared to a standard test pipe on a turbo application. Pretty much every one agrees that there is no difference on performance but when it comes down to sound that's where we disagree.
-- Some say there is no difference in volume...some say there is.
-- Some say there is no difference in pitch...some say it's more raspy without the resonater.
--Some say there the differences are so minimal that it's not even worth it to buy even if sound suppression is very high on your list.
Well what do the Members of HT say?

Re: Questions on Resonated Test Pipe (aalb1)
I say the sound is much better with a resonated test pipe...
It's much less raspy and pingy... more of a deeper sound...and quieter...
It's not as drastic a change in a turbo application as it is in a NA application, but the difference is still there...
