Default Questions on Boost Creep

Im about finished getting my parts i wanted to upgrade and ready to install. My tuner saw my manifold and asked me what wastegate i was planning on using. I said my 38mm tial. I was told to get atleast a 44mm or i can pretty much expect boost creep. Im not sure if its b/c itll be making a decent amount of power or what, but any helpful input you guys could give id appreciate thanks.

so, my question is.. should i expect boost creep with my 38mm.. what should i do..

power goals ...eh.. about 385whp on pump

My setup.

B18c (head was port/polish w/a 3 angle)
srp 9.2-1 pistons
eagle H beam rods
JE rings
skunk 2 manifold
custom made by "me" manifold
custom 3" downpipe with electronic e cutout
brand new sc34
hks ssq
spearco front mount
etc..

you have pics of the manifold? if it is like the drag and only pulling exh off of 1 runner, with a 3" d.p. you may have creep issues especially with a cutout.

if you are trying to stay with low boost, you may have creep. you may be ok, but id like to see other oppinions, i have a 44 on mine but i plan on low boost except on race gas.

well i plan on having 2 settings a lower boost for daily driving, then when i wana play around, ill throw in some race fuel, select the high boost on the boost controller, and open up the cutout.

With a T3 hot side I've never seen a "ram horn" style manifold properly control boost with just a 38mm gate.

It can still be done man, just make the hole bigger length vise than merge 2 tubes together and weld them to the manifold.

What spring are you running in the wastegate now?

What pressure spring are you running?

I have heared of some people having luck running the 7psi spring and controlling the rest with a controller, to get rid or the spike or creep.

I'm just thinking that 2 38's will solve the problem for sure but a single 44mm might do it too.
