i have a 99 gsr. if i got a turbo kit, would i be able to hear vtec still? or is vtec basically only audible on n/a cars with i/h/c/e/cams and other ish? which leads me to my question of, is vtec pointless with boost? just trying to clear some things up. thanks.

 

hear vtec? why do u care much for the sounds of vtec? TRUST ME. when u are turbo'd, the LAST noise u wanna hear for is the vtec..haha

but vtec is a great thing for turbo...vtec does wonders for your engine BESIDES noise..but im sure someone can answer this better

 

with NA, you hear VTEC
with turbo, you feel VTEC

Here are the facts about VTEC and Turbos:

You can not really hear vtec crossover anymore
You have other sounds you can hear, turbo spooling up
You can really feel the vtec kick in

 

yes you can hear vtec with a turbo car, it sounds like tires lossing traction!
