Default Question about using AFC as management

i haven't yet got ahold of a apex afc in my hands so those who have it, i heard that 3000 rpm is the lowest you can set your vtec engagement? planning to turbo a d16y5 and the first valve opens at 2500, so i am trying to stick to the stock vtec engagement points. did some reasearch on this site, and there was this write up about the d16y5 engine and thats where i got the afc can only go to a minimum of 3000 rpms (unless i am reading it wrong). and there was this other guy who turbo'd an HX and kept his vtec engagement points using afc hack, but thanks in advance.

got this from civic hx-t post "Edit here: Forgot to mention, thanks Bauley, that the VAFC only allows C/o points to be set between 3000+.So that means you'll have anywhere between 500 - 300 RPM's of bog on your hands. Though this isn't that much of a difference."

so not sure about the other afc's (safc safc II etc) but yeah
