Default question about s200

im gonna buy a s200 off my freind here soon but it has a basemap for a turbo gsr. i have a b16a na right now and i want to know can i send it somewhere for the basemap to b changed to a b16a basemap??

Just remove the chip and send it to phearble.net(mtber) for a new basemap.

The basemap will be on crome, but when you take it to get it tuned just hook your s200 back up and get it tuned back on hondata.

that was showing me how to remove a chip from the ecu...im prob just dumb tho

exactly the tune is on the chip, Hondata is not a standalone, it acts kind of like a sister ecu to the oem. If you disconnect hondata, take out the chip, ship it to a tuner, get a basemap, and put it back in, then drive to a tuner, hook up your s200 then let him tune off it you should be golden.

i thought the s200 was kind of a standalone and the basemap is in the s200 unit?

o ok so if i just send in my p30 i dont have to do anything with the s200?

s200 is not a standalone, you still need a honda ecu. Standalone would be like AEM.
