well, my plan is to sleep the car: no blow off valve, and no huge fmic. (maybe one of those fake intercoolers ppl put in front to totally sucker ppl into a race )

it does seem like sleeping the car is more of a hastle and for less power.

but ill keep researching, the painted fmic will be my last resort. what kind of problems might i run into with the dual ics?

i think your trying to make this more complicated than its worth. IF you dont want the intercooler to be shown, your best bet is to get a smaller FMIC and paint it black. With it being black and the grill still in the front bumper no one will be able to tell the difference.
IMO its going to be too much of a hassle to route the extra pipes and hoses to link two sidemounts.

FYI, it was a pain in the *** to locate a side mount on my EG. It was touching the bumper and pushed it out a little when mounted on the passenger side. I couldnt mount it on the driver side because i wanted to keep the washer bottle. Im sure you can mount it different, but for the time involved a FMIC is probably the easiest/cleanest way to go.

i agree with you... i am making this more difficult than what it could be. but i dont mind the trouble if in the end i am going to love the results... i am leaning towards the painted fmic though. thanks again for everyones help by the way.

Like i've said from the beginning, it depends on your power. If you want to spend the time to run a dual sidemount setup so its more sleeper, be my guest. It work for a lower hp setup (250whp or so) as long as the turbo wasn't extremely inefficient

the power im looking for is around 350whp... i dont know if that is asking too much, but if i cant get that with a side mount, i wont use it.

I dont think you are going to get 350hp on a sidemount. Best bet would be a FMIC painted black. I am actually selling one that works great right now....

get an FMIC and paint it black...for your goals, the sidemount idea just isn't going to work
