Question about condition of chambers
Hey guys, I pulled this head off of a bone stock LS motor and had it resurfaced and hot tanked and then through in my Crower valves, springs, and retainers. When I was looking at the combustion chambers I noticed a little ridge. The Prussian blue resin makes it easier to see and it is not deep at all. It looks like a little bit of casting flash from the factory to me but I just wanted to see how some experienced machinist felt about it since it will be seeing around 4 times the stock output of the motor. It is on the left side of the chamber.
It will eventually be smoothed when I have the head fully ported, oversize valves done, reshape/size the chamber, but i just want to make sure i dont have problems with it now. It is completely smooth and there is no sharpness to it either.

yea everything looks good to me, if you are talking about the small bump like ridge on the right hand side of the first chamber, thats nothing, wont cause a problem at all...

Yes that is it on the right side of the first chamber. This picture was with the macro on and is about the most detailed it can get. Actually I think the flash makes it look worse then it really is but it seems like from the responses im getting I am just being my OCD self.
