Default question about comression ratio

If i have a gsr block, and it has 9:1 pistons in it, then i throw a pr3/ b16 head in the mix, does this drop it a point? Or is that only when you use the pistons in a b16 block?

I am pondering on buying an assembled gsr block that is currently 9-1. I want to put my b16 head on top but don't want 8-1 compression-

someone help me out here

Your compression will go down to 8.8:1

I used -6.82 for your 9.0:1 piston dome displacement (this gave 9.0:1 with stock deck height, gasket thickness, combustion chamber).
