This isn't about forced induction, but I figured that you guys might be able to answer this question. What is the highest compression you can run on a B16 with using 93 octane instead of using race gas?

 

Static C/R doesn't necessarily govern the incidence of detonation. Other factors such as intake temperatures, air/fuel mixture homogeny, and combustion chamber geometry will have a greater immediate effect on the potential occurrence of detonation than will the C/R.

so you are saying i can run 13:1 compression on pump gas?

 

93 octane yep...better have it tuned though, and good for that matter

 

12.5:1 all day long on 93 tane.

then your not turbo?or you are all motor now?

 

what about with no tunning maybe a v-afc

 

uhhh...tune it..dont even think about high compression untuned, you can use a vafc though
