Good luck on your goal.

You dont think that DSM blow valve is going to leak like a sieve? I used a crushed DSM blow off and it leaked behind a tiny IHI turbo car (old mx6 gt turbo fun budget car I toyed with), I can only imagine behind a 42R.

areomotive told me that my pump would die being setup like that lol (mines the sameway as yours but sumped) i told them im not f**kin redoing my whole fuel setup. they say no smaller then a -10 feed to the pump and no small earls filters (i have 2 of them on my pump) ive drove mine around alil but let me know if you have any fuel pressure problems or the pump making weird noise cuz when i come to a stop with a little under a 1/2 tank my pump makes some noise like its going to blow up. let me know thanks

This car will go 9s on a budget Keep it up

yeah man, thats some decent stuff but budget? some have gone faster with less.
if you are goin after the 9's id like to see the "bolt in cage(which is probably only a bar)" gone in favor of a cert'd legal cage.

I consider it budget cause including the car, i only have about $8000 into the whole thing. Its been alot of trading parts, watching for deals, buying parts for cheap and trading up for parts, that kind of deal. The AEBS built short block cost me a 93 accord i paid $1000 for. The turbo im only $100 in to. Bought a good used precision T67 for $600, then traded that and $300 for a almost new Garrett 4202R. Traded the 4202R for the 4294 and he gave me $800. Just been like that for the whole build. So in a sense...its a budget build lol.

Made it to the dyno last thursday. Got more than i was hoping for. The dyno we were on reads about 4% high. but still happy. She made 721whp and 483wtq at 23psi. The E85 was just loving the timing advance i was throwing at it over the 92 octane pump gas tune it was previously on. Could have kept goin but figured that was a good place to stop since i needed to learn how to drive it and it was on a stock, unopened 98 GSR tranny.

On 17psi made 525whp.

Took it to the track friday the 13th. The stock tranny was absolutly hating life and wouldnt let me shift it at anything over 7000rpm. So my fastest pass on lowest boost setting was an 11.3@133 babying 2nd and missing 3rd and babying 4th.

LOVE THE E85!!!!!

AWESOME. I think that looks like a reasonable budget for 9's. Gotta love Honda's! To be able to run 9's for <$10k if you built the car and didn't buy someone elses is pretty damn impressive imo. want more pics and vids!

how is it to drive? you ever try driving it on the street? I bet a 700whp+ civic could run with a 1000cc street bike....

Why do u feel that its the tranmission that wont let you shift at high RPMs? Most instances thats a clutch related issue.

The clutch and pressure plate are almost new. And with the same clutch setup 2 weeks ago and an LS tranny, it was shifting just fine. Only thing we changed was the LS to a GSR tranny.

Your going to need a twin disk. You are going to keep having high rpm lock out problems with any single disk clutch. There is a reason why almost everyone over 600 whp has a twin.

The clutch hasnt showed any signs of slipping. but then again, the one night i took it to the track, it was never over 550whp. And at only 550, youde think the ACT would work just fine. Oh well....gonna need a twin disk either way, so i guess i might as well start saving up for it.

And it does make kinda high power for only 23psi, the dyno we were on reads about 4% high. so its prolly closer to 685-690whp which isnt too off the mark for a turbo that flows 92lbs/min on E85.

if you can be patient enough to wait for the good deals, then jump on them when they come up, you would be amazed what you can build on a "budget" its the gotta have the latest and greatest right meow, that leads to big spending.
