Default Putting a turbo on my b16a.

Like the topic says.

I read that lots of people like to take there nice stock b16a and run like 10 lbs of boost on them. I am thinking that's not good for any engine lol, but its all up to who does it and the tunning, i suppose!

Short story is I am going to most likely get a t25 turbo and slap that happy puppy on there with a fuel system upgrade, and some dyno tunning. I am not running more then 8psi of boost and more then likely it will be 7 anyways because I know thats a perfectly safe number on my stock block. Though we all know turbo's like to blow things up .

The deal is I read a lot of t25 turbos not likin high rpms', If anyone has had some insight on this please tell me . Also I like my VTEC and I was wondering if there will be any problems with that?

What a long confusing story lol. Don't flame, me! I like my N/A motor but I will not be pullin 1/4 mile times at the track on my daily driver, like i wanna. Help my little rex out .

you could run alot more than 10psi with a t25 on a stock b16a, the motor can handle more power stock than a t25 can produce.

its just being a daily driver. An for some fun at the track during the summer. Being the t25 isn't much good for anything more then 8psi, is why i was thinking of it. But I am not sure how great she likes high r's. Thats' my deal, thanks.

I vote for a t3 60 trim... they seem to do well imo in your type of application.

If your interested in a new Garrett T25 with .48a/r comp side and .89a/r turbine side, let me know. I'll say around 315$ for it, and shipping is free. PM me if your interested, pictures are available.

I wouldn't recomend that turbo for your engine. Like you said, it will not be happy in the upper rpm range. Trust me I ran a small t3 (.42 /.48) on my b16, by about 5,500rpm the fun was slowly runing out, by redline I lost 3-4psi. I was only runing 7psi to begin with. I upgraded to a larger t3t4 (.57/.63 A/R) and I am much happier.
I am amazed at how hard the car pulls above 5,500rpm. I would at least recomend a smaller t3t4 like a .50 trim .63 A/R.
check cheapturbo.com for turbo's

I agree with b16ahybrids opinion, but you have to consider what your looking for. If you want high-end power don't go for my turbo, but if you want quick lowend power, you might be interested. This turbo will basicly be spooling at idle, you'll have no turbo lag whatsoever. Consider that when you decide.

The thing is I don't know how the VTEC is going to react to this in the high end. It's kinda like walking down a dark wall and hitting a wall . I have no clue about turbo's and vtec's, nor have I heard lot's of people with them for that matter. So its just a little speed bump that I need some info on.
