I recently got a zex nitrous kit to put on my del sol and had a question about it. A few of my buddies have nitrous and they have purge kits installed as well. I've asked them all and they said that the kit that they bought came with the purge kit so they put them on. My question is, is a purge kit a necessity or is it more of a show item? I know that the purpose it serves is to remove old or dead nitrous from the line, but does that mean you need it?

 

The only time you need to purge is when you first install a new bottle, just to get nitrous in the lines. As long as you don't have a leak, your nitrous won't change.
