Default projected guage images

Hey everyone. My knowledge of this product and the "real terms" used for it are pretty sketchy, so please excuse the question if it's silly.

I've recently heard of a product that will project any guage readings like boost, MPH, etc, onto your windshield. So there's no actual guage there, all you see are the readings.

Is anyone familiar with this? If so, can you point me to some place online where I can read about it and see pictures of it?

Thanks

I think it's called a Heads Up Display or HUD. I've only seen them for tach and speedo functions, but that would really be nice if they had more.

Defi has the VSD guages to display on the windshield. I have the boost guage, but have not hooked it up though. Nice quality IMHO http://www.defi-shop.com/product/vsd/vsd_top.htm
