Fuel System:

Turbo KIt:

Exhaust:

Electronics:

Shortblock:

Groupshot:

The shortblock will be built in the next few weeks, along with the head. I should have the car up and running on this set-up by early summer. My goal is 300whp on pump, 400whp on race. With this set-up its very likely i can accomplish that goal.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I wanted to do something different with her car, which is why i choose to turbo the d16. My girl works hard, and has earned every single one of those parts. I am anticipating that the car will run mid 11's on high boost, but we'll have to take that as it comes. I dont know why, but i think its such a cute little engine!

If my gf didnt drive i wouldnt be with her, i hate putting miles on my car.
BTW good luck, setup is great. 400whp single cam on race gas? how much boost you plan to run on those stock sleeves?

Probably around 22lbs should do it. I am just guessing on what psi level. I have never seen a d-series make good power, upwards of 300whp. Sleeves are not an issue if you dont have detonation....

what about your torque goals? Have you considered a blockguard?

I figure around 230-250 ft lbs at the wheels around 300whp. Block guards are garbage. There is no reason to use them if you dont have detonation. I have had nothing but problems with them in the past. Stock sleeves can support over 500whp, and d-series sleeves are made of the same material as b-series.

That is the dp that i ordered this summer for my b-series kit! With a little tweaking it will fit her d-series engine.

Yeh, me and my 50.00 digital camera take some mean photos. I think i will be nominated for the kodak awards for my stunning display! (smart alecks)
