To keep it short, anodizing utilizes an oxidation process in which the metal when dipped is (for lack of a better term) infused into the metal. Very similar to tattooing. Its extremely thin coating, but doesn't have the same cooling issues as powdercoating, and when there's no durabrite application to make it shiny, is very durable when it comes to rocks or pebbles much more than the street.

Nice Mac, looks like nice but simple set-up. I'm sure the lil bro is going to have tons of fun with it. Also car looks real nice in the photos and im not really into that stance, hella flush, poke, fatlace Volkswagen type ish.. but he did it nice i thought (except the front wheels lol traction ftw!)

For him, though, I have the ECU for S300 already, his tuner is closer to his location (He's in a different state than me) and is more familiar with S300 and he wants to start some HPDE events. As for boost control, BBG can work fine with internal wastegates, but again, not needed in the kind of racing like HPDE

Beautiful Mac! I guess that is #4 sir? Your brother is one lucky guy for sure. Which turbine housing will you be using?

I gave the last one I had to a polisher friend of mine to kinda mess with, and he performed some amazing work. I didn't think it would have looked that good with the Tag plate (Tell tale sign of a GT3076R), but when I got it back... Simply wow.. I was impressed. The only way you could tell the tag was ever there is the slight dimple where a tag would be riveted on the left side of the housing. Otherwise, you'd never know it was there.

He's still trying to sell off that GReddy I/C. (There was one interested party, but not willing to ship to Canada for what he's asking). He saw that intercooler you so much that he's saving up for one (previously posted).
At this point the project is waiting on a few funds, as he has another car as his daily commuter that needs some attention. He's getting out of the "stance" movement because he's tired of the tyres wearing down despite his better efforts of balancing camber/toe with "the stance look". His next step is Gram's injectors and the Skunk2 Rods and Red IM.
He really is a good guy. I'm not just saying that because he's my brother. He works hard, and plays even harder!!!

Wow. that was quick. I thought you still had a ways to go before getting to that? I'm more interested in the usability of it on the road more than any dyno numbers. That to me is more important.. though I'm the minority in this thinking, I realize.
I completely understand and I am also more concerned about how she drives on the street as she will mainly be a street car sir. That is the main reason I chose the tuner I chose. Most tuners that I have talked to will not street tune but my tuner will. All I have left to do on her is adjust the intercooler and piping, hook up my vacuum lines for the Mac solenoid/wastegate, wideband(so that she can be street tuned), and weld up the exhaust(my tuner is going to weld up a custom 3 inch exhaust for me).

My tuner also does both. A street tune, Dyno, then street test to make sure it all drives like it should. I don't think you'll reach the full potential of your turbo with a block that is not sleeved, but I think you'll still have fun with it.
