Hey guys new to site. Time for a project. Been saving my money and doing my research. Decided I want to turbo an h22a4. I'm looking at a used motor this weekend. 150k miles was still running when it was pulled.. completely stock everything is there.. $650. Hopefully I can get it for 500$The plan is to sleeve the block with darton sleeves and go from there. I will be building the motor first and finding a shell when the time is right. Lmk what u guys think.. besides the machine shop .A buddy of mine will be helping me with the build..we will be posting here and staring a youtube channel for the build.. I will keep everyone updated as we go.. open to all feedback and any questions that come our way...will be posting again soon.

 

Hey guys I'm back. Cleaned my garage. And grabbed me a H22a4 with harness and everything for 500$. However it won't let me upload the picture.. it only goes to 50% then says error. Any ideas?

 

And the guy that has built a cammed 357 small block camaro for me and planned to do the honda build Bailed on me ha ha not sure what happened he just went dark. Soo that means my guy at a shop will be doing the work. Aka no youtube channel for the build. Not sure why but thanks larry! Even though I know eventually he will read this. Project is still going forward without him..still can't get pictures to upload plz help

 

As long as you go with a shop that has experience, you should be fine. Just tell the shop to take pictures.
The Chevy crowd tends to shy away from building Hondas.
You might try a different camera, or convert the file type to one that is valid. It probably is your camera/computer because this website is reliable.

 

Pic file is too large.. What I do is pull up the main photo in my gallery then screenshot it, crop the crap, post. Done and done.

 

Thanks u were right file was too large.. H22a4 off to the the machine shop today.. the build has officially begun..

 

Nice! Yeah, I have the pic problem all the time. My phone usually snaps shots around 18MB on regular mode so I had to find a way to get around that. Found screenshots were much smaller in size and didn't compromise the detail. Eh, it works. Lol. Looking forward to the progress here. I almost got an '01 back in the day when I returned to the states from deployment. They were a hot ticket then and most had to be ordered. Hard to find now in good shape though..

 

Been a while sorry been working alot. But progress has been made. Motor is done being built. And I bought a 2001 prelude. Got the car for 3300$ and it's everything I need. Runs body and interior is good so its Time to get the car to my shop And pull the motor and move forward with the swap. While it's out i will be having the tranny gone through and rebuilt.. and in the mean time I'm just buying parts

 

 

Deciding on what turbo manifold to run. I want ac and power steering. But I don't want a log manifold. Will post when we pull the motor
