Default Project 400WHP Del Sol

Well it's been in the works for some time now. And I finally decided to fill everyone in whoever is interested. I have a 93 del sol, it had the original 1.5 non vtec motor in it. Thought that was too slow, so I upgraded to the JDM B16. I thought it was quick, but just didn't do it for me. So I purchased a B20 Dart block 84.5 mm bore tall block. I'm gunna be running CRVTEC with a B16 head. Im deciding to bore it out to 85mm. It is no longer a 2.0L it is now a 2.15L.

I just ordered some Custom 9.0:1 JE 2618 alloy pistons, Eagle 3.74 crank, Calico HP series Rod and Main Bearings, HP oil pump with Billet rotor, Cometic head gasket, Ferrea Valves, Aluminum flywheel.

I already have my EVO III 16g turbo, FMIC (not sure name brand), fluidyne rad, HKS SS BOV, catch can, and few other goodies.

I plan on ordering either skunk2 or invidia exhaust. Havnt fully decided yet, but it'd be nice, however I'm still trying to find a nice 3" kit.

Here are some pics I've got.

Here's every Honda man's famour picture. My engineless JDM pic, hahaha.

when you are all done you have to have the JDM h0tne$$ pic of you on top of yur motor with a jdm stance AKA the praying mantis or crane but good luck man, sounds like it should be a lil quicker then the b16... but why not an h22??

Not many companys make 3" kits for my car. And I got the turbo for a dirt cheap deal, until I have it up and running I'll run this. When I upgrade will either get a gt28rs, or a gt3027 (something like this) Havnt decided yet, prolly change it up threw mid season!

Because I wanna go fast, and frankly, I don't think anyone in Canada has ever done CRVTEC Dartblock Turbo. So why not be different Not to metion, I don't think I know of one with a 2.15L most either keep the 2.0L or upgrade to the 2.2

400whp? You sure you don't wanna get a equal length exhaust manifold?

i really think you need to rethink everything...if you are only hoping for 400whp y not just put the money into your b16?? the dart block will be able to take double that and your thinking of putting a 28rs on it w/ some shitty manifold and 2.5inch exhaust...you'd be best off to sell that block and put the money into your b16 OR up your goals to like 6-700whp

Hahaha, the mani came with the setup that i got for the deal. And I only want 400 this season, next season I'll be upping the goals. funds werent the best, I know, either do it right or not at all. I'm planning on upgrading the mani, and turbo at end of season or next. With time, and I'm still trying to find a nice 3" exhaust.

**EDIT**
All things said, and ideas mentioned, will be taken into consideration!
BTW, I'm also getting my paint done.

I'm confused.

Besides alot of money going into a dart block and what looks like going with cheaper other parts, the parts seem a little off balance with each other. Also, I wouldn't consider running a 2.5" exhaust because that's the only "production" size. You can make the exhaust out of whatever diameter you want, the same way they make the 2.5", put a name on it, and mark it up.

Good luck with everything.

doesn't kteller have an exhaust for you for 3 inch? and i hate to say it but i love the h22, and i still think you should have done that... but to each his own, and I do love being the first or one of the few to try something new, so more power to ya man!

and the most improtant thing is a good tune, doesn't matter the turbo or exhaust... spend the money on a great tune and you will be glad you did!!!!

good luck making more than 320-350whp with that turbo (I have one on my DSM)....38/lbs a minute just isn't going to cut it man......At a bare minimum you should get some kind of 60trim t3/t04e, especailly on a 2L + dart block......the 16g will probably spool fast, but it WILL fall off on top, just as it does on my Talon...

I used garrett 60 trim 48/60 t3/t4e 7000 miles on it made 326whp on my b16. $365 shipped. if you are interested.

ktellers make 3 inch dp

and you dont need no stinking equal length manifold as stated above, I made that power using a blox cast iron, and I plan to make 450whp+ with the same manifold, sc61, and gsr cams. so whatt you can make 30 extra hp with a equal length manifold? nothing you cant make up for by turning up the boost.

^^ not worth the money for that turbo, can get rebuilt garetts on HMT for $300

Anyways, the 16g is way to small for what youre going for

Youve spent the big bucks on everything else, upgrade your snail
