Default problems with E-cutout

Has anyone blown any fuses with the E-cutout?

I just installed my e-cutout and I keep blowing the fuse that it came with. I've tested the e-cutout previously and it was working fine, and now it just keeps blowing the fuse whenever I try to open and close the unit?

Its the one made by Quicktime Performance. I have the power line hooked up to my 12v radio power, and I grounded everything properly.....

anyone help?

truthfully if its blowing fuses its probably something with your wireing..

but it could be the cutout too..

try connecting the power side to a different power source other than the radio one....and also try grounding it somewhere else...

wireing problems suck

Sand the area where you ground at. Sometimes it doesn't like to work through paint. Also, what watt fuse is it. I keep blowing heater fuses in my cavy so i got a windshield wiper fuse. When it blows, just let it cool down for 2 sec then it'll flip right back on. Save you a lot on fuses

I already did a test on the switch itself, and doubled checked my wiring already. The switch itself was pushing out 12 volts wich is fine.

I just don't get why the valve itself is pushing more than 10 amps of current. weather closing it or opening it.

for the ground, just find a good ground. and for power, just find a good power.

JK

We hooked mine up to the ignition power off of the ecu. works perfect.

sounds like you have a short somewhere cause i dont think that little motor could draw 10 amps. also check the voltage at the motor when the motor is opening/closing the cutout, see if it drops below 10v. which would indicate a problem with where you're getting your power.
