problem with no spark on aem ems..please help
im posting this for a friend..i already searched the aem forums and found some stuff but i wanted some other input...and please dont say post on the aem forums because the same topics from a few months ago are still on the first page of threads.
little background....its a 93 cx hatch with turbo gsr motor..it has a msd digital 6 and external coil. we just got the car tuned this past weekend and it was running great. still has a little idle poblems occasionally but nothing major. everything else is awsome, pulls hard and smooth.
well last night after washing the car my friend goes to start the car and it starts up then dies...well we figure it was just the weird idle issue, so he tried starting it back up and it just cranks and cranks but wont start.
we check and its getting fuel, but no spark...switched out to a different coil but it still gets no spark.
we are going to try sticking the stock gsr ecu back in tonight and see if it starts up with that, but has anyone else had a similar problem?
it was running fine before this. pin A22 is de-pinned so its not that. ive read some other people having similar problems and it ends up being something messed up internally in the ems but who knows.
any input would be appreciated. thanx

hey whats up had the same problem and still do its most likely one of the drivers inside the aem it blew but whoever tuned your car should beable to fix it all you have to do is wire another pin into the ecu and connect to a different driver inside the aem it has like 10 drivers i am pritty sure its the green with yellow wire coming out of the harness let me know what happens i am still in need of help
oh yeah the reason for it to blow is because the white wire from it is getting grounded somewhere i cant figure it out?
