I know that this is a turbo forum but I have a 2000 4cyl turbo accord. Well this is what happened some ******* ran me off the road last night. I was going about 65 at the time and I went into to the grass hit a few bumps and was back on the road. Now of course I was pissed so I speed up to catch him. I was going about 90 to a 100 trying to catch him when all my in dash lights came on and my car shut off. I pulled over at a gas station and there was a little bit of smoke (a very tiny amount of smoke) when I popped my hood but that could have been from my brakes.

Well the car started back up and we let it idle for a little bit. Well when the car would idle with no lights on all the in dash lights came on my battery light, check engine, all the doors were shown as open, and my e-brake light. Well when ever I would rev it up a little all the lights would turn off. Now when I put on my lights and did this all the lights stayed on. no matter if I rev the motor or let it idle.

I took it to a shop to have the alternator checked cause thats what we thought it was but the alternator is fine. What could this be?
