Default Pro2s or ctr? Need advice

I have a set of pro2 cams that I bought for my 2.0 turbo setup. Going for around 500-600whp range. I was told that I would benefit using these cams with my setup, then read that it is too much lift/duration for what I am trying to do. Can someone please help me make a decision on weather to stick with these cams or go with another and why? Thanks

Your better off with pro1's their is a review somewhere on here I read discussing why they didn't work as well as pro1's

"Someone" told you wrong. See if you can get a Pro1, Kelford, or even a CTR if you can. No other advice to give that NLR808 hasn't already stated

Already stated but for that power range there isnt a need for HUGE cams. gsrs will get it done and ctr's will do it better. IMO oem unless its a drag car trying to make over 900whp. but thats just me

Agree with Justin on this one.

If you do in fact, have access to the CTR's in your choice, I'd suggest going with them for that particular goal.

Big T4-frame turbo, long-length runner manifold, open downpipe or a 4" exhaust? That will be a setup worth getting some cams with big lift and duration. Power level doesn't seem to determine what cams are ideal for the motor. It depends on how well the engine can breathe under boost and whether the motor can benefit from the extra overlap. That means if you had a GT42R with a topmount manifold and running 8 PSI of boost, you can run Pro3's and it will probably still make power until you run more boost

Usually going with anything bigger than CTR cams won't show too much of a gain. There are exceptions, but there isn't much to talk about when we have no idea what motor/turbo/compression/exhaust/head/IM/etc.. you are planning to run.

I chose blox type b's theirs a dyno comparison just need to search for it, i chose them since they were cheaper then the ctr's and made a bit more power. To each their own

Btw not trying to be a *****, all this stuff is searchable I didn't need to make a thread, all this stuff has been done before so the info is out their
