Hey guys I got the Greddy Kit and the famous blue box. We all know that it runs rich as heck, but Ive only been boosting around one month, the car does have almost 60k miles on it. Anyways I got CEL 1 today, Primary O2 Sensor short or Bad. Could this be the ned result of a car with 60k miles with of gunk on the O2 sensor + Greddy Blue Box 11.50 Richness = Burned out the 02?
Correct my if I'm wrong, but isn't the primary O2 sensor in the downpipe?
I guess its time for me to get a new one, anyone got a used one for a 99-00 Si?
Comments or suggestions?
Thanks in Advance!

hmm thats possible..
u have air/fuel meter right?
as the o2 sensor goes bad, it will osciallate slower and slower at part throttle.
have you noticed this? i checked it that nite actually and it was oscillating ok i think.

hmm ill have to check tonight, I mean I can get one for under 100.00 bucks but ya know, 100.00 here and 200.00 there, it adds up.
I mean I got the secondary one working, so I'm sure this isnt bad to drive like this, right?

definitely check and see how the autometer responds tonite, and reset the ecu and see if it changes when the CEL comes on.
it could be that the autometer wiring / grounding could be causing some 'abberations' on the o2 signal line, causing the CEL.
but if you're boosting often, then running hella rich might have mucked up the sensor yes.

well...i dont think the 2nd one actually provides feedback for fuel trim, i think it just is for calculating catalyst effeciency. i would be careful.

yes it is possible to fry a primary 02, i know cause i did it lol.
with such a rich set up, you'll nuke that o2 sensor. i repalced it with another factory one and my problems went away. $100....are you sure its a proper 4 wire 02 sensor? that seems kinda low
