prep for a turbo???
Im about to buy a turbo for my 99 civic, any suggestions on some things to do to prep for the turbo so my engine runs good and clean. ECU, turbo timer, boost controller, spark plugs, wires, fmu??? anything, i tried searching and i couldnt come up with a whole lot of info.
What kind of setup are you doing? What kind of turbo kit (RevHard, Greddy, Apex-I), etc, etc... Let us know what you're going to be doing, and we can help.

I was just about to post the same thing but for a 94 ls with 115,xxx. I definetly need to put new rings cuz I'm burning oil and I did my valve seals about 3 months ago, should have done the rings same time but no money
I would like to beable to run at least 250whp or even more when I have to race a real fast car. But for daily driven I'm thinkin 5-7 psi would be okay. So what else should I upgrade before I get the turbo kit. I was thinkin the drag kit or the Rev hard kit would be okay but I'm still tryin to gain as much knowledge as I can about this stuff before I get it. I know that you have to read up on it first thats why I'm askin
. What's the difference anyway between the 2? Is it the size of the turbo? I heard lots about the Greddy Kit sucks *** but I don't know what to believe so please help me out and let me know the real deal!!

Im getting the whole greddy kit, for the dohc motor. its an 18g turbo and im getting the greddy intercooler kit as well, im still gonna be an everyday driver so i need it to last. people tell me lots of things i should and shouldnt do to prep for it and make it run smoother and better for my car. So any ideas or things that dont really matter. thanks alot
Depending on your motor mileage, I dont think you would have to worry much, although it WOULD be good to do it if you have the money..Just get new things here and there..Spark plugs, change you cap/rotor, get MSD ignition, change your head gasket, and be prepared to spend much more money that you think you're gonna be spending....Greddy or not, problems WILL occur...so you just want to make sure you have some back up $$$ just incase..
Oh yeah, Ditch the Blue box.
