precautions...taking a 5 hr. trip while boosted
Watch egt's. Other than that, there is nothing that I can think of. Oh, be wary of the gas you buy long distances away. Sometimes its lesser grade and you are paying for 91,93,94, etc.
i traveled 2 hours on my setup at 5.5 psi, took a 1.5 hour HARD drive through the mountains, and then took another 2 hour trip back home. i'd just suggest that will cruising on the freeway, don't boost and take it easy. it's not like you're going to be boosting while driving on the freeway, anyway ... unless you need to make a quick pass or something.
i jus did two 26+ hour trips and there is not much to worry about. the only time you will be boosting is going uphill and accelerating offramps. just change your oil and check your fluids before you leave. others keep any eye on your guages and when you stop for gas let the car idle to cool down and check for leaks. You should be fine

i don't think it would hurt to keep some extra fluids in the trunk or something just in case you might need it... think of something like a first aid kit for your boosted car...

I usually raise hell and play with the boost on road trips. To and from PA (7 hours) twice; Jax, FL, (5 hours heh) once; Raleigh (4 hours) twice; Fayettenam (4 hours) twice; Knoxville (1 hour) six times; Charlotte (1.5 hours) three times; and Atlanta (3.5 hours) once since I've been turbo.
7 psi B18B in an 1800 lb CRX HF makes for amusing looks on LS1 Camaro owner's faces. Roadtrips are good.
