The potential do a D16y7?
Is this motor any good . Im asking this for my brother because he just bought a car and wanted to turbocharger it. Plans for now include a y8 head but Im trying to convince him to go b18 non vtec instead. Stick with it or go with a dohc?

I made 273whp/224wtq on a STOCK D16Y7 bottom end.
I have been beating on this setup for 2.5 years now (at first w/ a greddy kit at 10psi) and it hasn't given me any serious problems.

I have a boosted Y7 stock engine, those little ******* are torque monsters but get upset when revved past 7000RPM, DO IT! Don't even bother with the head swap unless you already have the head sittin around.
