Works good because it blows off right at the turbo and for that instant the turbo doesnt really need to pressurize the whole intercooler and charge piping again.........or something like that. Supposedly its more efficient.
A lot of supra guys run their bov like this as well.

nice setup. i'm saddened by your decision to convert to GSR. there are less and less turbocharged LS' nowadays.

btw, how did you make a bracket for your MSD ignition box and what part of the chassis did you bolt it down to?

thanks

Well the LS got hurt by a little mis-shift overrev ordeal....sucks. I found a gsr longblock Im going to throw in for the time being.......lets see how much power I can make on stock pistons and sleeves!
THe bracket for the MSD I made from aluminum stock I found at Home Depot. I believe the one side bolted down where the original air box went. The other side I just found a bolt hole somewheres.

i was fortunate enough to get them for free, thats why i dont have a CF hood yet lol. The fitment is decent, not factory by any means but it is definatley decent. Unfortunately i broke 4 moroso wheel studs off (i will never use anything but ARP again) and the tire ended up in the fenderwell and cracked the drivers side

they are definately cool tho, as long as your looking at the pass side!

FFgeoff,
what size turbo is that? I'm looking into getting a PT67 from precision and I was wondering if I would have any fitment issues with that manifold and ic.

TIA

Chris

i dont know how well the pt67 will fit. Terry (Boostfed) is using one of our turbos on his setup

if the pt67 is the same size as that you will have no problems, i have just never seen one.

Geoff,

I'm assuming that's a cast iron turbine housing with a stainless steel discharge flange, right? What kind of filler rod do you use when you weld those 2 together?

Thanks,
Sonny

Man that looks good and here I am trying to do that kind of stuff with a stick welder The pt67 should be about the the size of that turbo. If it doesn't fit, it shouldn't be too hard to make it.
