Default Possible to remove the block girdle with engine in the car?

Never had to do this. H22A4. Need to get up in there and put my oil squirter in that Golden Eagle forgot to put back in

I took a look at my rod bearings and they look ok (concern over lack of oil pressure), and thought it may be possible to remove the girdle and look at a couple of mains bearings while in there.

The girdle seems awefully tight in there with the outer caps being pushed up against by the oil pump on one side and the crank cover on the other.

Has anyone done this before?

I don't see why not.

Try asking in the prelude forum too.

i did. i was a little redundant and posted here, tech and prelude forum.

it seems possible but it feels like its in there a lot tighter than without having the 2 ends on the block.

i'll wait and see if anyone has done it. i hate to get it off and have a big problem getting it back on again.

Dennis has done it on a customers H22 accord...the customers car didn't have enough oil pressure for VTEC to engage... so Dennis pulled the girdle and checked the oil O-rings
