possible to make Bosch 044 pump intake?
few friends with DSM's and a couple with Fbodies i have seen there walbro pumps fail on them early. I wanna run the bosch 044 in tank. Do i need to make a special pickup sock for the pump?
Does anyone have a extended pickup picture?

There's a company that sells the sock adapter so you can run that pump intank. It looks like the stock sock but with a fitting that bolts to the pump.

i've cover this and so has stan.
the bosch 044 is to wide to fit in the stock locations but you do have options.
this is for and inline set-up and is what i use currently
this is for a sump set-up
if you insist on going intank you will need this

at one point i had a bosch 040 intank feeding my 044 inline BUT the 040 would drain the stock baffle super fast.

if you use my first picture you can mount the pump almost anywhere and that should take care of the salting issue. you could mount it under the brake cylinder
oh yeah and that set-up cost about $50 in fittings im all for economics
