Default Possible cause for gas smell?

I dont have any leaks anywhere, but do you think this is why sometimes why it smells like gas inside of my car from time to time?

As you see for the return line, i couldnt fit a strat-oseal grommet on the top, however there is one on the underneath side. Could fumes be passing by the rubber o-ring? Yes, that is JB weld on the feed line, i had to rethread the hole since earl didnt offer the metric adapter for my application, i used JB weld just for an extra sense of security i wouldnt have any leaks.

I had to notch the cover out, should i modify the lid cover so it has no opening? This is the only way i can figure out why i have a gassy smell inside of my car from time to time since i have ZERO leaks anywhere.

Yes I had the same problem and still do, it's the braided lines, apparently the aromatics in some fuels come through the rubber used in them they are not leaking at all but you can smell them. Got this from the distributor for our country it is correct!!

Happened to me as well. Lots of times. ALways happened when it was hot. So i would mess around with the fuel controller. My GF almost passed out once lol from the smell.

Ok im glad to know this is why im smelling gas. My friend was over at my house and was concerned about the smell so i dont pass out while driving. Ill see what i can do to fix the lid cover, i wonder why the damn lines emmit vapor/smell? I would think since they cost so damn much they would have designed them to not let off gas vapors.
