Default Possible boost leak? Please help

I have a d15 minime on 7psi
The turbo in using is an eBay turbo but my friend has the same exact one I have on the same motor
I hit full boost at like 5000rpm but he does at 3000rpm
So could I have a boost leak at one of my couplers or something? It's a jdmsport .53 .60

Have you checked base timing make sure the motor isn't out of time? Or it could be just something very simple.

What kind and size is your exhaust? What size is your friends exhaust. You also gotta take in consideration that every motor acts differently and is not the same. Examples mileage, compression etc.

Check for any pre turbo exhaust leaks, make sure all bolts on manifold and turbo are on tight. Then check for loose clamps or torn couplers. If you done all that, you can also do a compression test on your motor. Just to make sure you have not lost any compression as that would affect spool as well. You say your friend has the same turbo, right? Swap out turbos and see if it spools the same. If not, then your turbo has gone bad. Same thing happend to me and it turned out to be my turbo. It was making 8psi at 6k rpm, we put my friends turbo on my car and it spooled up just fine. So at this point it may be your cheap ebay turbo going out, but I cant say much as my Precision turbo is about equally cheap as your ebay turbo. Only difference is I got shafted paying 3 times more the price
