Hi, i was wondering if i ported my vtec solenoid if it would help my turbo spool faster? Kinda like porting the head/intake manifold/throttle body/charge piping/intercooler.

I heard it will add like 5 hp/..also it will make v-tech pop harder..im gonna be trying it out on my next build

Most likely yes because you will get more oil pressure to the rocker arms and lock VTEC in MAD tight and prolly give you more lift from your cams, more air into the manifold to turbo so quicker spool. I think it is good for about 35whp

I would like to see that thing with a ported selenoid, must be hell of a beast!!

 

i do know of people that cut the oring, to keep it on all the time, but thats an all out race motor.

port your coolant lines, it adds more coolant flow = cooler engine = more HP = More Wins..

Its a proven formula..

 

Ok thanks guys, so when im done porting my vtec solenoid ill port the coolant lines, should i port the coolant lines to the turbo too? A die grinder should get the job done

&lt;--- Has 2 Ported V-TECH Solenoids on his Type-R, and saw 25whp gain.

Definately a good investment.
