Ok, after i put the turbo on my car..same set up as my old motor that blew, i ran the same base map with same bolt on. my turbo spools up to about ..6000 rpm and theres like a popping sounds coming outta my wastegate. keeps doin it and holding back power like its detonating.anyone have a hint??

 

just out of curiosity why are you trying this all over again using the same map, nothing done differently, when the old motor blew? My guess is something is wrong and it will remain wrong until you diagnose the problem. I would try to figure out what is wrong first before blowing a 2nd motor.

 

actually the first motor blew after it was tuned.. i wasnt home so my cuzzn came over and drove it and fucked it up.. so i didnt know about it and it blew up on me while i was on the freeway. well i tuned it to 11.9 afr and was done street tuning by one of my friend . but now with the new motor, im gonna retune it after i fix the problem.. it seems like a ignition module at first but i replaced the whole distributor but still doin the same thing , im also running MSD 6AL on it so im gonna try to take off the msd and see how it runs without the msd and if its the cause or not. but the thing is that when i tuned it before. i was running at 10 psi. now im jus running off the spring at 7 psi. so a lil too rich maby? so anything comments?

 

Do you have a wideband on the car right now? What are you plugs gapped to?
