PLX or Zeitronix??
Im trying to decide between a PLX wideband or a Zeitronix. I want an in cabin gauge that monitors real time and data logging. Both do this. Howver I have heard some negative things about PLX units breaking, and then again zeitronix isnt very well known. What do you think?
All I can say is that my plz m-300 is great, and to always be warry of a new product till its been out a while. The datalogging plx stuff is the newest stuff around atm.
PLX probably makes one, if not, the best wideband for hooking up to a EMS datalogging system. It just works insanely well and is very simple. If you are looking for a stand alone datalogging system, Zeitronix wouldnt be a terrible choice. I would not chose if you plan on datalogging through the EMS because regardless what you do, there will be some error due to the fact the afr to voltage conversion is super fucked.

My zeitronix has worked great for me, Ive tuned a handfull of cars with it. Zeitronix has great customer service. The black processor box somehow got toasted and they sent me a new one right away no questions asked. Im very pleased with my purchase from them and higly recomend them.

i ahvent actually bought the zeitronics yet, but its definitely the one i am going with. My buddy got the PLX M300. He paid a good chunk of change for that thing and the control box was pretty cheap IMO
is everybody here tuning their zeitronix with the 3.5 bar map with hondata?? just want to know because im having problem tuning my 3.5 bar with hondata s100b. a/f reading too low and boost meter reading difference than my auto meter boost guage??
zeitronix is great you can monitor boost, egt, rpm, throttle position all from the compat digital screen. the data logging software is great. the only thing is some of the tuning software doesnt interface with it because of the voltage scale. i dont really see that as a problem because logging through crome for example isnt necessary, you can just use the zt2's included software.

can u explain?

plx, good price, multiple output, no calibration required....
I havent read about the z unit yet but i run the m300 and its the easiest thing on earth to install, and the display is really good too (2 decimals)

I am running a Zeitronix now. It has a great datalogging program included with the wideband, but trying to get the lamba values to line up with its screwy voltage scale is very difficult. Also, it has more wiring to get it working than you can shake a stick at.
The PLX as I hear it is a 3 wire deal and the lamba values will be correct in the engine management program you are tuning with.
I also had the controller unit take a crap on me, but Zeitronix had great customer service and had it fixed for me within a week at no charge.
If I were to do it again, I would probably go PLX, but I got a steal of a bargain for the Zeitronix.

Zeitronix +1 here
why? BOSCH sensor.... not the expensive one to find when you need to get a new sensor
dataloggin software is fast and accurate
instalation was easy ( at least if you know what u doing)
unit display is small and easy to read (even on sunlight)
u can also monitor EGT, boost, TPS, and user input (can be used even for VTEC indicator, as a troubleshooting tool)
IMO is wwell worth the money, easy to use and gets the nesesary job done... works great along with my Ostrich

same here. m-300 all the way.

crome has update with support for zeitronix wideband. I've used it with crome and it works perfect. I ran both zeitronix datalogger and crome datalogger and it was very close to each other on readings. the white wire is the wideband output to feed the ecu for datalogging

yes. you can just use the software that is included with the zeitronix bundle.
