Default plx wb installation

I have an M-300 kit.
where /how did you guys mount your box/unit thing for the display? Where did you ground/get power from? any suggestions?

i took out the little ash tray thing by the cig lighter, and there are two wires that are cut there, one red one black. i assume one of them was for a light, doy ou think I could get voltage from there if i were to mount my box where that ash tray used to be? thanks

don't pull voltage from there. pull voltage from the ecu and ground as close to the ecu as possible. the closer to the ecu,the more accurate the readings

ignore the hondata, do what it tells you to do, get power and ground from the ecu harness

It is ok to pull power from some where else if you are not datalogging through the ecu. But you can mount it anywhere you want, if you tune the car, prefereably where you can see it while driving.. haha I pull mine straight from the battery when not datalogging, but I always ground it near the ecu. Just make sure you have a good power reference, and ground it by the ecu. It should be ok.

I didnt know that the ecu was grounded. as far as i know, i'm only grounding my ecu when i want to check codes. where is the ecu grounded? does it get ground through those little metal poles that it touches?

ha, no, how else would an electrical circuit work? The ecu has a ground wire, I forget which one it is. I wish I could tell you off hand, just look around for like safc installs and stuff, they have you ground it on the same wire you need.

yeah of course there's ground, sorry i think i voiced my view incorrectly. i meant to say that i didnt know where the ground wire went, because id ont think my ecu is grounded by my ecu.
