Default Please judge/feedback on current build for son

most parts already purchased

1991 ef sedan dx
d16z6
comp 59500 supertech springs stock retainers, head completely rebuilt/surfaced/valve job
vitara pistons speedfactory no notch, acl bearings , block .5mm over and surfaced
skunk 2 intake mani, tb, 1000 cc inj
arp studs, je proseal
p28 ecu with s300/ obd1 swap stuff / mpfi conversion
plm top mount / borg warner s256 .48 housing
mishi intercooler , built own 2 1/2 piping
spec clutch / factory trans for now


mostly do v8 stuff, first d16 build. Hope to get some cnc work done get flow on head up as well.

Very interesting turbo choice, not to say it won't perform well down low. BW has always had some of the best journal bearing turbos IMO, even if that S256 is an extremely antiquated design at this point.

Parts list looks good to me. Fuel pump?

I agree on the borg. I tuned a car a while back with a borg and it spooled better than i expected for its size. I wonder if the top mount is going to hurt that spool response...

The car will be fun, they are light and dont need much power. Next step save for a diff!

Not at all enough for it to be consequential versus a bottom mount.

fuel pump is 535 i got in tank, wired and on 40 amp relay. -6 crimped teflon stainless braided lines all the way up ( I work in hydraulics) hunter tuned rail
thanks on the turbo choice. any guesses when it will light ???? im thinking 4-4500 ish ???? really hoping to get head CNC work .. get flow up , im thinking this is the best way to get good power on moderate boost. 20-25 daily

am i losing out by using the top mount manifold ???? i thought i was doing good with it? better choice ????

Top mount is fine.

Fuel pump choice sounds great.

I had a .48 hot side on a t3/t04e back in the day on a stock b18a. It was very, very fun. Seemed really well-sized for the motor, had full boost by like 2600ish, IIRC. Pulled great all the way to stock redline.

Yeah that sounds ideal for just a fun little street car, or even for small autocross courses.
