placement of wideband o2 sensor?
i purchased the techedge v 1.5 which has a narrow band output that can be fed to the ecu, so that you can eliminate your stock sensor(s) and just use the wideband. my question is, i know a lot of the newer cars have the sensor near the cat but on my b16a its right by the head. my question is can i use this location for the new wideband sensor? will it read accurate in this location? is it too hot here for it where it might shorten the life? if i can use the stock bung it would make life a lot easier.
thanks

Well on FI cars you would usually put the sensor about 2-3" away from the turbo on the down pipe you your getting a acurate reading, so I don't see why you couldn't put it in your stock location on the B-pipe....
It would be very acurate in that location..

i was just concerned that since the wideband has its own heater and the stock one doesnt that the wideband might overheat. you dont see this as a problem then since it will be so close to the head?
thanks
