Default Piston ring filers

Anybody know where I can rent one? I went to autozone and they said that it's a purchase only item. Does anybody know where I can rent one? Or maybe someone in socal would be so kind enough to let me borrow one?

i dunno about a dremel. You'd have to have really steady hands for that. So no luck on any rentals or lenders?

i use a dremal...just be very gentle and go very slowly...couple nicks and measure....couple nicks and measure...be sure ur doing it straight...then after ur done sand the edges smooth with 1000/1500 grit so u dont create hot spots on the edges that are keen... or buy a file grinder

Usually the upper ring is only 1mm thick and the second ring is 1.2 to 1.3mm thick. If that is your case, you could not put the middle ring into the upper ring land opening.
If you are doing a turbo motor, .018" upper and .020" middle gaps should work fine for you.
