Default Piston and ring choice?

I recently melted down a piston in my LS-T from running it on a base map. Considering the amount of damage done to that piston I feel as if the other three have been weakend and I should replace them. I have a complete set of PR4 sitting in the shop but I began to research and found that a nippon piston and ring kit is about 80 bucks shipped. Would this be money well spent or should I re-ring the good PR4's? They are NOT nippon's racing line. Also what should I run for rings? I have priced a few sets but not sure which are better than others for boost if any. Any opinions or facts would be greatly apreciated. Thanks
