Its so hard to tell on a picture if they are good or not. They have been cleaned up. If you are questioning it, Dont do it. You may be cheaper now...but if there is something wrong with them....it will cost more in the long run. If the seller is a legit and prominent seller, then rethink it.

You can't tell anything from a pix. You need to mic them and examine them closely with a trained eye. Pay as much as you would pay for the rods and the pistons could be a bonus.

Yeah, see, thats a good way to look at it. If i do get screwed, i'll still have the rods, even though they'll be almost 100 bucks over priced!!
Thanks for the help, i think you may have solved my answer!!

For the the love of god,NEVER go the cheap route when rebuilding an engine. What if you miss a flaw in those pistons or rods, install them, and you shoot a rod through your block. Now the cost of those pistons and rods aren't lookin so great now are they. Spend the extra bucks and go with ones you can trust...new ones.

Just for the record they could be black due to improper tuning so I think this shouldn't play a role in how long they have been used. If the rods check out good, just slap some new rings on the pistons and you my friend have got yourself a deal. Good luck.

Alright thanks for the help so far guys. it means alot!!

Another question though, he says these are 75mm's. My stock ones are 75mm's. I thought you had to go .5mm overbore at least. I didnt think you could go with the exact same size??? am i correct, or again, am i wayyyy off/!?!

Thanks!

you could get away with running stock bore if the cyl arent to "out of round" from having high milage........but that is NOT recomended

id say inspect the pistons very closely and check for detonation if you plan on buying them.....

The problem is, is that i CANT inspect them. I only got 6 picts from him, so i guess its better than nothing, but still.
So you are saying its highly probable that these pistons wont work, because they are the stock bore, right?
Any other opinions? I suppose i could buy them, and just sell the pistons if they dont work...
