Default Piston Compression Distance - Turbo Application

I have been sizing up some Arias pistons for my B18B turbo and I noticed that they have a slightly larger compression distance than other brand names. I will be sleeving the block and was wondering how this will affect my engine?

Arias compression distance = 1.185 in
Other brands compress. dist. = 1.181in

Thanks!

I have also seen this referred to as compression height, Pin, but Arias seems to be the only company who has 1.185".

The pistons will sit .004" higher in the block than all the others.

So what is the effect of them sitting that much higher, good/bad/ or just preference?

So this means I would need longer rods to compensate for the higher compression height? And if so, are they standard size rods?

The more I think about, maybe they would be shorter rods? I am confused about the subject. The main reason I need to know is that GE is sleeving my block and the sell Arias pistons.

No you run normal rods and you will be fine. Pistons will still sit well below deck unless you have milled it .025" or so.

Most oem (non ctr) pistons run comp heights of around 1.180". and have a piston to deck height of about .030" in the hole for 1.8L and about .02" for b16a/b17a blocks.
