Why not 3" all the way around??? Only think I could think of is that it would hurt the spoll up time, correct me if I am wrong, but would it just take to lond to fill all of those 3" pipes with boost???

Go for it. I don't think anybody has done it yet so let us know how bad it sucks 
I've got 2.5" intake 2" from turbo and 2.5" to TB.
