Default Pipe size.

If I get a 3 inch exhaust all the way around (headers, cat, catback) will I be able to keep it when I bore out my engine and add a JRSC or will the piping have to be larger for better flow? Thanks!

You definately wont need to go bigger than 3" with JRSC but i would wait until you have it to do the exhaust. If you're sitll n/a you're gonna lose some low end torque with the 3". HTH

bigger than 3 inches on a JRSC GSR?!? how do you figure that? a lot of people that are boostin high PSI/HP numbers are doing fine with 3" exhausts...

EDIT: and to answer the original question, 3" might be a little too big for the header. I hear Kamakaze headers are just the right diameter for Supers.

How much are you trying to bore it out... 5 liters?? 3" will be fine for anything under that assuming jrsc boost somewhere around 8psi. Btw, 3" piping is raunchy w/o FI... consider waiting and doing it all at the same time.
