Default Pinking (pinging) under BOOST with my B18B

Someone here can list the main reasons why my b18b under 9psi with timing retarded to max and 94 octane is still PINKING ? (or Pinging?). Stock plugs, WOT at 3500 and dm450cc with Uberdata

I will check to see the options available for me in order to solve the problems...

Many thanks

Are you sure it's pinging? How many degrees of retard do you have, 5-9 or so?

you need wideband tuning. all the injectors in the world wont help if they aren't opening.

Yeah I would def do at least one stop and the .28-.30 should be a good gap for them.

Why do you have your base timing retarded to the max if you are using a standalone?

Have you upgraded your fuel pump?

Have you tuned at all with uberdata or are you driving around on a basemap, what does your timing map look like, how much totoal timing are you running?

I'm threadjacking because the original author hasn't written back yet.

Why 2 steps colder? At what point do you decide to go from 1 step to 2 steps? A lot of people are running 1 step colder (BKR7E for instance)

At 9psi I would run one step colder, especially considering the amount of control you have over your timing and fuel. I always thought that you want to run the warmest plug you can without detonation. Similiar to the idea that you want to run the largest gap you can without having miss-fire.

Sounds to me that he is having detonation problems. DO ME A FAVOR AND GO TWO STAGES COLDER. Then come back and tell me if you still hear detonation. I'm done with this.
